It is getting busy but here are a few updates for you:
Religion- We completed a unit with Role Models and what those look like and how Jesus was the ultimate role model for us. We are moving into the Beatitudes and what those mean in depth.
SS- The kids started an At-Home Project. They chose Loyalist or Patriot at random and began brainstorming a poster creation that would have been published in a newspaper. Some research should be done at home with moms and dads to provide good reasons to join the side chosen. This is a great time to enrich what has been talked about at school with the symbols and reasons for their poster. It is due on February 15.
Math- We are in Module 4, over half way learning about angles and measurements. We are beginning to talk a little about Geometry and some vocabulary surrounding it.
Science- We are into our Energy unit, talking about different types of energy and how they change.
Reading- We are still reading Shiloh in cooperative and guided groups. The fourth graders really enjoy this book and some of the real life issues that surround this story.
There is an informational meeting requested for parents in fourth grade on February 13 at 7:00 PM. Sr. Kay is asking that if you cannot attend to please make her aware!
