Welcome back from a hopefully, rested and enjoyable Thanksgiving!
Our fourth graders discussed many different things we were thankful for, during the weeks preparing for Thanksgiving! Another look in fourth grade: SS- Long house projects came in today and they looked wonderful! The children were so proud of their projects, we took a big portion of the morning presenting and admiring them. Check out the Pictures! ELA- We are actually doing a few different things. We are currently putting together a Saint Research writing report. We are summarizing interesting details we find and practicing "synthesizing" those facts into one general statement. It is a process this week to "generalize" information from that research! We are also continuing working on Closely Reading with non-fiction articles including Earthquakes, plate techtonics, tsunamis and more! Science- We are finishing up the unit with Magnets. We will be doing a summative assessment including writing and hands on activities with Electricity and Magnets. Math- Module 2 is on measurement and data. The kids will be finishing up metric next week.
