I hope the children enjoyed their break and many have come back rested and ready to go! We have much planned for the month of January.
Here is just a sneek peek of what we have been working on: New Year's Resolutions and Religion: Students each have an academic goal stated on their desk they are working towards, daily or weekly. They really have embraced this concept and working hard to "become a better person". Science: We are getting into energy lessons. Heat, Sound, Mechanical, and Light Energy are just to name a few. SS: The students are beginning the American Revolution Unit. They are really interested in the battles and weapons used back then and how our country has come to be! Math: We are continuing to measure angles and shapes as part of unit 3. ELA: The students are working on Word study words twice a week and a new book called "Shiloh". They will be working on for the month of January, vocabulary words and what words mean. The class is really good about giving examples and is now working on actual meanings. Here is a sneek peek of what is to come: Catholic Schools Week at the end of January The Snowball Dance Research on the battles of the American Revolution The judgements and collaborative learning in life experiences with the story "Shiloh"
